The DeWalt M-16 Nail Gun, Overkill? NAH!

16 07 2008

Hey, who doesn’t need more power driving nails? Well, if you find yourself in need of “More Power”, DeWalt has you covered! Check out the DeWalt M-16 Nail Gun!

dewalt-16-nailgun

There’s nothing quite like the super nailgun in the original Quake to go along with Quad damage if you’re all out of cells, rockets and shells. This DeWalt M-16 nail gun might not look anything like the computer game version, but it is able to send a 6-D nail through a 2 x 4 at 200 yards, literally allowing you to sit in your lawn while building a fence. Unfortunately, life’s not all that simple as I doubt you have the skill and accuracy required to achieve that, in addition to the fact that wayward nails might end up injuring somebody. The DeWalt M-16 nail gun will be equipped with a hundred-round magazine though, so make sure you are well protected when using this.

DIY Mini-Air Conditioner Made From A Hamburger Box!

30 06 2008

This is just awesome! I saw this today on Gear Diary and thought I would pass this on!

Here’s your parts list:
– Burger styrofoam box
– A small exhaust
pc brushless DC fan the thicker the width the better!!thin fans wont have much airflow so thicker ones are better!
– Some mounting tape
– Multi purpose glue
– A huge big pc
heatsink - longer fins…better
– Or and alternative to the heatsink is cutting a can into rectangular shape with holes in it. This is what concentrates the air flow
– Power for the fan itself(batteries)
– Lots of ice cubes

Total cost should be under $5.

Now add Ice to the bottom of the container. When you put the two halves together, your cooling fan is on the top and out of the water (the heat sink sticks down into the cool ice to distribute the cold. Power up and enjoy!

Obviously this will only cool small spaces. In a heat wave - some relief is better than none. And it’s cheap to make.

Turn Signal Bike Jacket

28 06 2008

turn-signal-jacket I wonder if this will have front turn signals as well? (snicker) Maybe headlights? LOL

Being a cyclist often leaves you somewhere near the bottom of the road user food chain, and despite having laws that help prevent untoward accidents on cyclists, bad things still happen due to a large number of factors - poor judgement, low visibility, and even the lack of turn signals that lead to confusion. This unique turn signal biking jacket solves at least one of those problems (two, if you happen to have fluorescent strips all over the jacket), featuring a turn signal that lets other people know just where you’re going at a junction. It works best against a dark background, but that could work against you in low light conditions.

TiltSite, MobilitySite, & AximSite Server Outages

2 06 2008

tiltthumb Just wanted to let everyone know that are looking on my personal blog for information on TiltSite that there was an explosion and fire at the at ThePlanet which hosts TiltSite, MobilitySite, and Aximsite. As a matter of fact, it hosts 9000 different websites. Chris Leckness has posted this:

The server is back online, but according to support, it is going to take hours for dns to resolve throughout the net again.

I was able to hit my site and make a post explaining the outage from home this morning before I left for work. When I got to work, I couldn’t get to the site. I was able to ssh in and my server load is only at like .15 which is LOW LOW.

Anyhow, it looks like we’re getting there though.

Hopefully it will be back up and running soon…

Folding BBQ Grill Is Pretty Handy

14 05 2008

folding-grill

This is a very cool looking BBQ Grill! I hate hauling my grill around. It never stays put no matter how well I strap it down in the back of my truck! This grill looks ideal for storing while in transit to your BBQ destination. Hopefully they will make a few different sizes.

Summertime is almost here, and you know what that means: grill season! It’s time to celebrate warm weather and longer days by torching hunks of meat in your yard. It’s the American way! But what if you don’t want to have a big, hulking grill cluttering up your yard? Well, that’s what the folding grill is for.

The folding grill lives up to its name, folding up into a thin, portable object that you can tuck away when you aren’t cooking burgers and hot dogs. Which, let’s be honest, probably won’t be all that often, but hey, it’s nice to have the option to put it away if you really want to.

Picture/Moron Of The Day

13 05 2008

This is my picture/moron of the day entry. Picture of the day because, and I hate to admit, this is pretty funny! Moron of the day, because if you are caught riding this, you should be slapped silly!

Hamburger-Harley

Hamburger enthusiast Harry Sperl of Daytona Beach, Florida took a look at his Harley-Davidson and his collection of burger odds and ends — over 1,000 pieces strong — and wondered how he could merge the two. Well, you’re looking at the answer: the Hamburger Harley.

This delicious trike is stacked high with all the fixings, and its melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, buns and patty were airbrushed to perfection by Chris Cruz. The top bun flips up for easy access to the seat, and the handlebars have a tray paying tribute to the all-American meal of a burger and fries.

Think Sperl’s a little obsessed with hamburgers? He’s tricked out a car to turn it into the “Good Burger Mobile,” and has been collecting burger related items for nearly a decade.

New X-Files Movie Trailer: I Want To Believe

12 05 2008

Too Cool, I had no idea that they were working on this! The new X-files movie Starring David Duchovny and Gillain Anderson is called: I want To Believe. Scully is not looking her best as far as I can tell with her new long hair, but X-Files Fans should be pleased to see a new movie none the less:

When a group of women are abducted in the wintry hills of rural Virginia, the only clues to their disappearance are the grotesque human remains that begin to turn up in snow banks along the highway. With officials desperate for any lead, a disgraced priests questionable visions send local police on a wild goose chase and straight to a bizarre secret medical experiment that may or may not be connected to the womens disappearance. Its a case right out of The X-Files. But the FBI closed down its investigations into the paranormal years ago. And the best team for the job is ex-agents Fox Mulder and Dr. Dana Scully, who have no desire to revisit their dark past. Still, the truth of these horrific crimes is out there somewhere…and it will take Mulder and Scully to find it!
